I’m passionate about helping leaders explore and enhance their unique strengths - because I’ve experienced first-hand how transformative that journey can be.
My own path took me from managing a small team to leading large, high-performing teams in complex international environments, where I came to understand both the rewards and the challenges of leadership.
A Global Career
Over a 20-year career with the British Council, I worked in China, the Middle East, Sub-Saharan Africa, the Americas, and the UK, including:
Leading diverse teams to deliver business results and cultural relations impact
Driving growth and ensuring compliance in complex operating environments
Building long-term institutional partnerships and stakeholder relationships to strengthen collaboration and impact
One of my proudest achievements was serving as Director Examination Services for the British Council’s largest overseas business in China, leading a team of over six hundred through the prolonged disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2023, I was honoured to be awarded an OBE for services to UK–China cultural and educational relations.
